These are for the top of the savoy cake or any other top of a cake, or mini cakes. These frosted berries will last for a little while in an air tight container stored in the fridge. And they’re really easy to do!
You will need:
Ingredients
Method
Place the water and ½ cup sugar in a pan and bring to the boil. Continue to boil until all the sugar has dissolved.
Leave the liquid to cool.
Place your berries in the cool liquid and leave to steep for 10 minutes.
Place your silicone paper on top of the wire rack. Remove the berries and place on the silicone paper.
Leave to dry. As they dry, they will stay sticky.
Roll them in the ¼ cup of caster sugar and place on your cake or in an air tight container until you’re ready to use them.
